Link Light Rail

Sound Transit’s Link Light Rail extends from the city of Sea-Tac to the University of Washington. With stops in South Seattle neighborhoods, the stadium district, the International District/Chinatown and downtown locations, it’s a great option for travelers coming to or from the airport. The Link Light Rail service runs from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. Trains arrive and depart every 6 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day.

Directions to the Link Light Rail from the Sea-Tac Airport

  • The Sea-Tac Airport Station is connected to the fourth floor of the airport parking garage. Trains arrive and depart on the platform level of the station. The covered, level walkway to the airport terminal is one level down on the mezzanine. The well-lit walkway is separated from the main area of the garage and directional signs point the way to the main terminal sky-bridge. Wheelchair service is available.

  • Upon departure from the baggage claim area, follow signs for “Link Light Rail.” You will pass over the sky-bridge and walk approximately ten minutes to arrive at the Sea-Tac Airport Link Light Rail Station.

     Purchasing Link Light Rail Fare

  • Download the Transit Go app onto your smart device. There, you can purchase Link Light Rail fare. Once you have downloaded the app, visit the store and select your “mode of travel” as Link Light Rail. Then set your origin as the Sea-Tac Airport and your destination to Westlake, the closest stop to the conference hotel at 0.2 miles away (a four-minute walk). It will then provide you with fare options.

  • You can purchase fares without using the Transit Go app, just visit one of the ticket kiosks located in the station and follow the directions provided.

  • A standard adult fare for a one-way trip from the Sea-Tac airport to the Westlake station is $3.00.

     Riding the Link Light Rail

  • Take the Northbound light rail to Westlake station, just a four-minute walk from the conference hotel.

  • From the Sea-Tac airport to Westlake, you will pass 12 stops. The Ride takes approximately 40 minutes to complete.

  • Once the light rail arrives into the Westlake station, follow signs to exit onto 5th& Pine. Walk 1.5 blocks to arrive at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, 1400 6thAve.
